Brakes for 1998 Coachmen 285RK 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 1998 Coachmen 28.5RK 5th wheel camper and am wondering if you can tell me if these are the correct brakes without measuring the drums...I looked up the numbers on the outside of the drums when I had the wheel off last month but have since put the camper in storage. I just want to be sure before I order. Thank you

You'll want to check the axle stickers on your 1998 Coachmen 285RK 5th Wheel, but as long as the axles are 5200 to 7000-lb axles with 12" drums, you will be able to use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA to replace the brakes on your rig. If you have a different axle capacity and drum size, please let me know and I can recommend a different brake kit. This kit includes the right and left brake assemblies, but does not include the mounting hardware.
Since this kit doesn't come with mounting hardware, you'll want to use the # BRKH12 for the correct hardware to go with your brake kit.
If you can provide me with the capacity of your axles, I'll be able to let you know exactly which brake kit you'll want to use as the replacements.
