Will Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger Drain Vehicle Start Battery
Question:
When I am static at a stopover and have the system connected to the tow vehicle for multiple days will it drain the tow vehicle batteries preventing a start of the tow vehicle engine when ready to move to another location. Would it be recommended to unplug the connection during an extended stopover.

The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D has a mechanism built in so that when connected it wouldn't drain the starter battery. If you check out the diagram I attached you can see that the blue wire runs to vehicle ignition and is a low voltage trigger which would cut off charging the auxiliary battery if the starter batter got too low. This means you don't have to worry about your vehicle battery being dead and leaving you stranded.
