Comparing EcoHitch, Curt, and Draw-Tite Trailer Htches for a 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack
Question:
I am having trouble deciding on a trailer hitch for my 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, can you help?

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7315, Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11422, and Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24949 are all excellent options for a 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack. I recommend EcoHitch because this option has a larger 2" receiver tube opening whereas Curt and Draw-Tite both have the smaller 1-1/4" receiver tube openings. The larger receiver tube opening is nice even if you are not towing because this allows for you to choose from a much larger list of hitch mounted accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers. Furthermore, if you will be using the hitch for bike racks you can carry more than two which would be your limit for the above smaller receiver tube options because of the class rating.
Lastly, EcoHitch in my experience is just much nicer overall than both Curt and Draw-Tite. The welds are smoother, there is less weld splatter, they tend to fit a bit easier, and the finish is more durable. If you only need to carry a few bikes and you don't mind the imperfections of the Curt and Draw-Tite then they will work just fine for you as well. These three options all install in the same manner so there won't be much of a difference here. I have attached an install photo of the EcoHitch for you.
