Best Skid Wheel For Hitch Mounted Mobility Scooter Lift
Question:
I need one with a 2.5 inch opening to accommodate at mobility scooter lift installed on my hitch. It has a built-in skid plate that drags to often. There is a bolt for the lift above the skid plate that spans a 2.5 inch bracket that I can use to mount the wheel protector. Any ideas?

If you're looking for a bolt on solution, I recommend going with the Ultra-Fab Hitch Mounted Steel Rollers # UF48-979017 which are designed for 2-1/2" hitch receivers. While these are designed to be used at the rear of your RV on a hitch, I believe they will also provide you with the appropriate solution on your receiver mounted on the back of your vehicle.
There are some much better options that are weld on options- like the Ultra Fab Steel Roller # UF48-979023 , which is 2-1/2" wide. If you have access to someone who does welding work (or are a certified welder yourself), this would provide the best solution available to keep your lift from being damaged while it's mounted on the hitch and eliminate dragging of the skid plate.
