I would be happy to help you select your first 5th wheel hitch for your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500!

If you have an 8' bed then you don't need a slider and I recommend the 20K B&W Companion # BWRVK3700 because it has 1" thick dual jaws to secure your king pin and a cam-action latching handle that allows you to release your 5th wheel trailer even if you're parked on uneven terrain. The 20K rating is more than enough for your 12K trailer and since this is made in the USA and comes with a limited lifetime warranty you can expect to use it for years to come, especially if you end up upgrading in the future.

For a 6-1/2' bed we do recommend a sliding 5th wheel hitch to help keep your trailer from making contact with your cab. I really like the Demco Hijacker for this because it has an autosliding feature which means you don't have to go through the entire process of parking and sliding your 5th wheel hitch if you ever need to make a tight turn. For your application I recommend the 18K part # DM8550034 which fits your puck system with the Adapter # DM6194.

I have attached some videos you can check out for more info on the 5th wheel hitches as well as a link to some 5th wheel towing FAQs that you can reference for pointers.

I wasn't able to see which part number you were talking about but if you have the 8' bed then you want the B&W Companion # BWRVK3700 but if you have the 6-1/2' bed then you want the B&W Companion # BWRVK3770 instead.
