What size hole needs drilled to flush mount this plug

The mounting brackets that normally hold 7-ways like the # C55416 that you referenced typically have a 2 inch center diameter like the part # PK12711U. If you were wanting to drill a hole in a surface to mount this into I'd go with a 2 inch hole for the easiest install.
