Availability of a 7-Way Round Pin to 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter
Question:
Ive recently replaced my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer with a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport-Trac, both vehicles were factory wired for towing. However, the 7 round plug I have for my Tailblazer is not compatible with the Ford 7 round, only the brake lights and turn signals work with it. Which adaptor plug would I need for the Ford, i notice that the flat blade configuration on the plug is different from the vehicle.

It sounds like your Trailblazer had a 7-Way round pin connector and your Explorer Sport Trac has a 7-Way blade style connector. The configurations are different between the 2 different connectors. For an adapter, using the 7 Pole to 5 Pole flat, # A75TB, that you have referenced would work for you if the Ford has the blade style connector.
I have included a picture that shows the differences between a 7-Way round pin and 7-Way blade style connector, vehicle side.
If the vehicles both have round pin 7-Ways, I have included a link to the adapters that will fit. However, there are none that convert a 7-Way round pin to a 5-Way flat. I would replace the trailer side connector to match the vehicle connector so you do not have to worry about adapters. I have included a link to all of the trailer side connectors for you.
