Troubleshooting No Trailer Left Turn Signal with Curt Echo Plugged In
Question:
Using your instructions I found the brake controller connection pigtail in my 2019 Titan however the controller I took out of my 2015 Nissan Titan wont fit it. After checking with a car parts store AND a camper dealer I couldnt find a controller that would work. I went to the camper dealer where I JUST purchased a new 2019 Keystone camper and I ran into the same problem. They called Nissan and said that Nissan told them that although there is a pigtail under the dash, it is useless. They have no wiring to engage trailer/camper brake systems. I ended up having to buy a Curt Echo wireless brake controller over $230. It controls the brakes however I cant get the left turn signal on the camper to work. We tried two separate controls and got the same results. Have you guy come across of of this?? VERY frustrating to say the least.

I am really sorry to hear about the issues you have been having finding the right brake controller for your 2019 Nissan Titan. I was not able to verify a confirmed plug-in harness for this truck on my end, either.
Now as for the problem you're having with the camper's left turn signal, I don't believe this is something that's being caused by the Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180, although this is easy enough to rule out. The only circuit on the 7-Way that the Echo actually uses is the 12V power output pin. The lighting functions should pass through and onto the trailer's wiring without issue.
What you can do though is simply try hooking up the trailer without the Echo in between to see if the turn signal still doesn't work. If the turn signal on the camper does work like normal without the Echo then there's an internal error that would require a full replacement (which will certainly be covered under its limited lifetime warranty).
If the issue remains though with the Echo removed then the problem is either on your Titan or on the trailer. To rule out one or the other use a circuit tester to test the left side turn/brake circuit pin on the Titan's 7-Way with that function activated. If you don't get power you know the problem is on the truck. If you do get power then the issue is somewhere on the trailer side.
On the Titan you will want to inspect the 7-Way itself looking for any debris or corrosion that might be built up around the pins. Inspect the wiring right behind the connector and look for any pinched or exposed sections that need to be repaired/replaced. Lastly take a look at your copy of the truck's owners manual for the fuses related to trailer lighting and check to see if they are in need of replacement.
On the trailer side check the 7-Way again for corrosion and try to inspect the wiring leading up to the left side tail light assembly. Look for pinched, damaged, or exposed areas that need to be replaced. Also make sure the main harness ground and the light assembly's individual ground is securely attached to a clean, bare metal surface that's free of corrosion or debris.
If you continue to have this issue please let me know and we can keep troubleshooting.
