Solution for Towing Forest River Rockwood with Reese Revolution with 2006 Ram with Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
Will this work with 2013 forest river rockwood signature ultralite fifth wheel 8282ws that has a reese revolution hitch? Pulling with 06 dodge cummins 3500, double cab short box with a gooseneck ball. If not what will work.

The Reese Revolution pin boxes are really nice but they have one big drawback which is they can't be used basically with any type of gooseneck to fifth wheel adapter due to the connection point being down the center of the hitch and not around the perimeter.
Your best option would be to replace the gooseneck hitch you have with a fifth wheel rail kit and fixed hitch like the Reese 16k part # RP30047. Then for a rail kit the best option is a custom fit kit like the part # RP50140-58 as this will install much easier and minimize drilling. The wedge you'd want then for the Reese hitch for connecting to the Sidewinder is the # SWW-03.
Then if you ever needed to tow a gooseneck hitch you'd only need the adapter part # 16085 installed in the rails and you'd have that covered as well.
