Parts Needed To Install a 7-Way and Brake Controller On a 2010 Chevy Traverse Without Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2010 Traverse with out a tow package. It is the LT trim and AWD. I did get a class 3 hitch already. I would like to have the 4 pole flat connector and the 7 way with break control. Can is be done? And what would I need for this to work?

Yes, you can install a 4 and 7-way trailer connector on your 2010 Chevrolet Traverse along with a brake controller. In order to do this you will however need a few parts which I have listed for you below.
Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56027
7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L
Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180
The Curt T-Connector is plug and play so all you will have to do is remove the tail lights for a few moments to install it. The 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit will then plug into the Curt T-Connector and has both 4 and 7-way trailer connection points. The reason I recommend the Curt Echo is because it cuts down on install time dramatically because you don't have to run any wires into the vehicle, splice into the stop light switch circuit behind your brake pedal, or run power wires from the cab to the battery.
