While there is one brake controller that is a plug and play option, your 2015 Chevy Colorado does not have a port which which will allow you to use a wiring adapter for your Prodigy P2 # 90885, which means you will need to hardwire the controller in to the brake controller wiring which is under the dash. It sounds like you are moving it to another vehicle so for that you will need for this is the Pigtail Wiring Harness # 7894 which is a hardwire pigtail.
For a truly plug and play brake controller for your 2015 Chevy Colorado with a factory 7-way the only option is the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. This controller will simply plug into the 7-way on the back of your '15 Colorado, as you can see by the accompanying photo. There is no wiring required with the Echo and the only thing you need in order to use it is a smartphone. No fuss, no mess, no frustration, just plug it in and you get a simple to use controller and smooth trailer braking.
I have added a link to a video review of the Echo for you to check out as well.
