Hi my name is Dale, I have a 2008 cougar by Keystone. I have a Bristol valve on my black water tank 3 in. I have not taken measurements of the diameter of the valve or the holes yet. Im just wondering if all of the 3 in Blackwater valves made by Bristol over the years are compatible with the ones that are available today. My problem is I believe I blew the O-ring out on the pull handle as when my tank gets too full it starts leaking water from there.

According to my LaSalle/Bristol representative, neither the valve size itself nor the spacing of the holes for the mounting hardware have changed over the years. The mounting holes are 3.73 inches apart center to center, which is right between 2-5/8 and 2-3/4 inches which is industry standard. The Assuming that your current valve body is for a 3 inch line, the # 34439240 you referred to will work great.

For your 2011 Keystone Cougar 278rks, you will want the Replacement Aluminum Gearbox for Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear #LG-179015. This will be a direct replacement for your landing gear and motor.

We do have a 3 inch diameter black water waste valve with a handle that unscrews but part #T1003VPM doesn't have a removable handle. Instead use part #34439240 from LaSalle Bristol. Additionally, use part #34466SP1112 for a 12 inch extension.

Yes we've confirmed with both Valterra and LaSalle Bristol that the threads of both of the extension rods are the same 1/4 inch size. So the #34466SP1112 that you referenced which is 12 inches long would work well for you.
