Replacement Boat Trailer Jack Non-Swiveling For Clearance Of HitchMate Boat Trailer Step

Question:

Hello, I am looking to replace my boat trailer jack but not sure what I need. I want to put the HitchMate Boat Trailer Step - 5inch Wide x 9inch Long - 400 lbs on my trailer frame but wont have room if I get a swing up jack. My boat is 19foot aluminum boat with 115hp engine. I want something that will lift easy but dont want to take for ever for the jack up to clear the ground. Any recommendations. Thanks

The HitchMate Boat Trailer Step part # HE4036 should fit with a swing up jack depending on where you place the step. The retracted height of the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack - Bolt On - Sidewind part # FXP15L is 26" so you may be able to make both fit depending on where you want the step to be located on your trailer frame.

If you still prefer a jack that does not swivel, I recommend etrailer Square, Fixed-Mount Marine Jack - Drop Leg part # MJSQ-2500B which has a 29-1/8" Lift and 2,500 lb capacity. Then you can use Fastway Flip Automatic Fold-Up Jack Foot for 2-1/4" Jacks part # FA88-00-6500 the 6" extension minimizes the amount of cranking required to position your jack and the foot flips up for storage.
