Needed Landing Gear Capacity for 5th Wheel Toy Hauler w/ 11,000 GVWR
Question:
My landing gear need to be replaced. They dont have any markings on them. I used your chart to measure if the replacement landing gear with fit. Indeed they will fit. My question is, how do you know if 8000 lbs landing gear is enough for my trailer? I have a toybox with a max weight of 11000 lbs. thanks

Expert Reply:
The # RVLG-8000 would be a great choice. Since the axles will be supporting a good percentage of the weight when the landing gear are being used, a set of landing gear with a 8,000 lb capacity would be perfect. This supports more than half the maximum amount of weight the trailer will ever hold, so you'll have plenty of capacity plus some in reserve. Having more capacity than needed means that the landing gear won't need to work as hard and therefore you should get more life out of them.
The crank handle # RVLG-HDL, motor # LC142178 and switch # LG-145236 are sold separately, as mentioned in the product description. If you wish to view the product description video for the landing gear, click the provided link.
