wire in a electric brake controller on a GMC 2013 searra need to know what each color wire does

I have added a diagram showing the wire functions of a brake controller such as the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160. The blue is the brake wire, the black is the power wire, the white is ground and the red is the stop light switch wire.
I have added a link to a help article on how to install a brake controller from scratch which I very highly recommend you read. This has all the information you would ever need on brake controller installs.
