How To Carry Kayaks On a 2018 Ford F-150 with Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover

The only ladder rack that allows for 100% fully unimpeded use of a tri-fold tonneau cover is the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # A4000964 for 5-1/2' beds or part # A4000946 for 6-1/2' beds. This ladder rack mounts in the stake pockets so the tri-fold tonneau cover must sit inside the bed rails such as the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover for example. This ladder rack also has vertical uprights which will clear the panels on your tonneau cover when you go to fold them which is why this is the only option that offers fully unimpeded use.
The Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack has integrated channels in the crossbars so that you can use a channel mount kayak carrier, the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier part # TH849000 is what I recommend. This is important as some rooftop mounted kayak carriers will not fit around the square crossbars above due to their sheer size.
