Is 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid Rated to Tow a Trailer
Question:
Have a 2014 hybrid ford fusion, was wondering if i could tow a motorcycle

Expert Reply:
The powertrain of a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid is not designed for the stresses of towing a trailer so Ford does not recommend towing with this car. This is noted on page 213 of the owner's manual which I have linked for you. Very few hybrid or electric vehicles are rated for towing since such cars are intended primarily for efficient passenger transport. Your printed manual may differ so I recommend you check it.
If you were to tow a trailer you'd need a hitch # C12091, wiring harness # 118574, ball mount # C45016 and a hitch ball such as 2-inch # A-82 or 1-7/8-inch # A-80.
