The best 1-1/4" hitch receiver option for the 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon is the Class II EcoHitch Hidden 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7267 because it has the easiest installation compared to the other 1-1/4" options that require drilling into the frame. I have attached an installation video for your reference. It is also a concealed cross tube design so the only portion of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver opening which gives it a nice clean look.
The EcoHitch also provides the most ground clearance of the 1-1/4" options available with 16-1/4" from the ground to the top of the receiver tube. Ground clearance is important when carrying accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers so they don't accidentally scrape the ground during low ground clearance driving situations.
