Does Kwikee Step Not Retracting Need New Motor

Question:

My steps started making a clicking sound, and now they intermittently dont retract fully or go out. Do I need a new motor or is it something else? I dont see a gearbox like some others mentioned. Thanks,

If your Kwikee steps intermittently retract and you hear a clicking noise it could either be your gear missing a tooth, or it could also be the motor; there is really no way to know for absolute certain though you will want to check and see if that gear in the photo has a tooth missing. I didn't see one in the part that is visible but there may be one missing in the part that is covered. Otherwise, you will need to get the correct motor based on the part number of your current motor.

For example, the Lippert Components Kwikee Motor and Screws for New IMGL Step # LC379147 is a direct replacement for older model Lippert motor part 366043.

I have added a link to our entire selection of motors for you to take a look at.
