Troubleshooting No Display With Tekonsha Primus IQ Installed on 2012 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I connected my Primus to my 2012 Silverado and it doesnt do anything, no display. Hooked a trailer up hoping it would change but didnt. Any ideas?

Since the display on your Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 isn't even lighting up it leads me to believe that the controller isn't receiving power. Try using a circuit tester like part # PTW2979 to see if the black wire at the back has constant power. If it doesn't that either means the fuse on your pickup is bad or the wiring from your vehicle battery to the controller is bad. According to the owner's manual you need to look at fuse 6 in the engine compartment.
