Installing Brake Controller Wiring Harness 3040-P on a 2006 Toyota Sequoia
Question:
I have a 2006 toyota Sequoia with towing package. I am trying to locate the wire conector for the electrical brake so I can connect the break controlller. Do you know where do they place it? Thanks,

Since your 2006 Toyota Sequoia came with a factory tow package, you can plug in the wiring harness, # 3040-P into the port on the vehicle. It is located under the dash to the left of and above the the emergency brake. You will remove the panel that is there on the far left, and the connector will be tucked up behind some other harnesses. It will have a white connector. I have included a link to a video that shows the installation of this harness on a similar vehicle.
Make sure to also attach the extra ground wire to a nearby piece of bare metal. Otherwise the brake controller will not function properly.
