Can Inverter Run Off Trailer Battery to Cool Fridge When Driving
Question:
Hi I just ordered the inverter suggested to go with my furrion 1.7 fridge.lI ordered from you. I’m wanting to know if I buy a battery to sit in a battery box on the front cargo tray of just enclosed trailer, which comes empty except for AC and a surge protector. I want to know if I could’ve put a battery on the cargo tray and plug in the plug that goes to the surge protector inside and plug my refrigerator to surge protector inside . I’m not worried about the AC that will be plugged in when we get to a campground it will plug in 15 amp to 30 amp. I just want to run the refrigerator while I am rolling so it is cold when I get where I’m going Then it will be on shore power once I get where I’m going. This is a enclosed utility trailer you pull behind a car

You can absolutely connect the Power Inverter 1000 Watts with Three AC Receptacles # WC3720 as a way to run your fridge while you are traveling. To do so you would also need a charger for that battery.
The charger will take power from your tow vehicle's battery and charge the auxiliary battery which is powering your fridge. For that the best option is the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Dual Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 25 Amp # 331-BCDC1225D for which you'd need fuses # 331-FK40. This unit will work with batteries that have 75 amp-hour to 200 amp-hour capacities.
