2-Bike Rack That Can Be Used On Motor home For E-Bikes Or Mountain Bikes
Question:
I am looking for a bike rack that will work on both our 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Jayco class A motor home with hitch receiver rated at 5000 lb tow and 500 lb tongue weight. What bike rack will work for both applications? Either hanging or platform style will work as long as it can be tilted out when mounted on the Jeep Wrangler to open the tailgate for access. We plan to carry two bikes. One might be electric assist later. Currently both bikes are mountain bikes.

The best 2-bike rack option that can be transferred from the Jeep Wrangler to the Motor home's hitch is the RockyMounts BackStage 2 Bike Platform Rack part # RKY10002 as long as both hitches are 2" hitches.
The RockyMounts BackStage 2 can handle heavier e-bikes and mountain bikes on the back of the motor home. The best thing about the RockyMount BackStage is that is swings completely away from the vehicle for complete rear cargo access for when you need a drink from the cooler after your bike ride. It can also be tilted down with the bikes attached if you don't feel like swinging the bike rack completely away compared to most bike racks do require removal of the bikes before use of the tilting features. All of the locks are included so there is not a need to purchase them separately.
