Which Brake Controller is Better, the Prodigy P2 or P3
Question:
Would you recommend the P2 90885 or P3 90195? Some places on your site is says P3 but other places P2. For either one would use still use the TK93VR

The P2 part # 90885 and the P3 part # 90195 are both really great brake controllers that share many features and functions but I recommend the P3 over the P2 because it is overall easier to use, understand, and setup which will give you an overall better and less stressful towing experience.
The P3 has a display on it that uses full words which makes it much easier to know what's going on with it over other controllers like the P2 that will require you to decipher codes.
So the P2 was once considered the best which is why you see different recommendations but the P3 is the next generation of controller from Prodigy that took the P2 to the next level. Worth noting is that the two controllers share the same internal components and both function just as good as the other because of that but since the P3 has the better display setup it's the best option.
To install either in your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a factory 7-way only requires the TK93VR that you mentioned. I attached an install video that shows this harness used to install a controller in a 2014 Grand Cherokee similar to yours as well.
