Availability of 15 inch Long Propane Tank Pig Tails

Question:

I replaced the original hoses with 12inch length hoses a few years back. Originals were shorter that 12. My gut is those original hoses were about 9 inches long. The 12inch inch hoses contact the back of the bottle cover and cannot loop therefore putting a lot of stress in the POL fitting with the rubber hose, causing it to eventually leak as it gets older. My guess is using a 15inch hose might be better since I probably can get a decent loop in the hose, therefore not stressing the connection with the pigtail fitting and the rubber hose itself. Does this make sense?

I understand what you are saying and I think you are on the right track. A bit more length from the pig tail would allow the rubber line to be able to loop so that it could tuck down better. We have 15 inch pig tails like part # 100473-15-MBS or even 2 foot long sections like part # 100473-24-MBS.
