Recommended Trunk Mount Rack for 2019 Volvo XC90

Im trying to buy one hatch back rack that would clap onto my BMW X5 2019 and my wifes 2019 Volvo XC90. I heard the Yakima Fullback would work for my BMW. Would it work for the Volvo? And/or is there one that works for both? Thanks,

I checked with Yakima and unfortunately the FullBack 2-Bike # Y02634 or 3-Bike # Y02633 Trunk-Mount Bike Rack is not compatible with your wife's 2019 Volvo XC90. I checked with our other bike rack manufacturer's and found that there is not currently a trunk-mounted option available that will fit both this vehicle and your 2019 BMW X5.

Right now your only option will be to have a different rack for your two vehicles. For the 2019 Volvo XC90 I recommend taking a look at the Hollywood Racks F2 Over-the-Top Truck Bike Rack # HRF2. This is an excellent rack that features a high-rise frame and multiple strap mounting options that work really well on hatch back vehicles like this that have a factory rear spoiler design. Its foam pads protect the vehicle's finish and it has a nice folding design that allows for easy storage.

This carrier does not include any locks so I do recommend adding a Cable Lock like # e98891 to protect the bikes and the Passive Security Strap # TH533 that will lock the carrier to the Volvo.

I checked with Yakima about installing the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack part #Y02634 on a 2015 Toyota RAV4 and they recommend that the lower hooks be changed and installed in anchor mode.
