Trailer With Crossbars To Setup Yakima SkyRise Roof Top Tent

Question:

Will the sides of the Detail K2 multi might trailer allow for cross bars to be installed as if they were roof rails? And secondly would the side walls support a Roof Top Tent and stationary use of the Roof Top Tent ? (yakima skyrise) Thanks

I do have an option for you but The Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Trailer part # K2MMT5X7 is not designed to be used with cross bars and cannot support the a roof top tent like Yakima Sky Rise part # Y07437. The Sky Rise gets most of it's support from the way the roof rack is installed on the roof. For example Yakima does not recommend using the Sky Rise on roof rack's that do not install on vehicle's raised side rails or fixed mounting points.

I recommend to use the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer part # Y08129 instead to mount the roof top tent. The cross bars of the EasyRider are designed to support the roof top tent. You will also need the TentKit part # Y08127 to stabilize the trailer to use the tent.
