Where to Attach Safety Chain Loops on 2017 Ford F-350 With Factory Pucks
Question:
I have a 2017 F350 with the Ford installed GN prep, which includes the ball receiver and 4 hook locations. My question is, which of these 4 should I use for the safety chains? The front 2 or the rear 2? And is there any reason to cross the chains like a bumper pull?

The safety chain loops on your 2017 Ford F-350 with the factory puck system should be installed in the pucks closest to the tail gate. So if you were installing the Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit for Ford Super Duty # RP30137, which fits your truck, you would put the loops in the two pucks you can see in the accompanying photo of this kit installed on an F-350.
In regards to crossing safety chains, you do not need to cross them, they simply need to be secured to the loops.
