Which Fuse and Relay Control Trailer Charging Circuit in 2017 Ford F-250

Question:

My camper is not charging when hooked up too the truck. Is it possible I have blown it when I accidentally reversed the polarities on the camper battery. I know stupid thing to do. I am also getting a service charging system now on the dash of my truck. It doesnt stay on long but it has done it a couple of times. I dont get this warning driving without the campwr Also will I ba able to purchase this relay at an auto parts store?

Yes, it is possible that accidentally reversing your battery connection polarity could blow the fuse or relay that protects the trailer charging circuit in your 2017 Ford F-250. The online owner's manual indicates on page 313 that the 30-amp fuse in position 27 and the relay in position 37 protect this charging circuit and these two items should be checked or replaced. I suggest obtaining both a fuse and relay at your local auto parts store; bringing in the old parts will make it easy to find correct replacements. The error code should disappear once you get the new fuse and relay installed.

Separately I will send you a link to the online manual I reviewed; please refer to page 313.
