For the camera to work, using the supplied switch, do you have to have both the switch and the red power wire on the small pigtail connected to a 12v power supply? Instructions read like it’s one or the other. Truck Bed Cargo Camera for 8inch Factory Monitor - Switch Kit Item # 3460006

I spoke with GCH Automotive about the Truck Bed Cargo Camera for 8" Factory Monitor part # 3460006 which is a fit for your 2014 Ford F-350 with Sync 2 and they informed me that you can use either the red wire on the switch for power or the red wire on the adapter for power but both do not need to be ran. The reason you have a choice is because the red wire on the switch is mostly used when the camera is tired into an ignition circuit so it will act as an observation system and the red wire on the adapter is mostly used when the camera is tired into the reverse circuit.
