Where do Red Wires on Custom Third Brake Light Camera for Ford Super Duty Connect to
Question:
If I use the upfitter switch already installed in my 2015 Ford F350 to replace the switch on the wiring harness then do I need to connect the second red power wire of the harness to a continuous power source or can that second power wire be connected to the upfitter switch to? What does the the second red power wire power up?

Both of the red wires on the Custom Third Brake Light Camera for 8" Factory Monitor # 3460006 will connect to power on your 2015 Ford F-350, while the black wire needs to be connected to ground. When we installed this wiring kit on a 2015 F-350 we used a fuse tap # F2526 to fuse location 44 (auxiliary switches) on the passenger fuse panel. To get this whole system to work properly you will want to have both red wires connected to continuous power so that when you flip the switch it will allow the screen to switch over to this backup camera.
I've attached the installation video for you to check out. Obviously if you're using an upfitter switch then your install will look a little different, but this should give you a good idea of what you'll need to do.
