Can the Swagman XTC4 be Tilted with Bikes Loaded for Rear Hatch Clearance
Question:
Ive seen some makes and models of platform racks with the ability to be angled down with the bikes mounted and secured, so that the tailgate can still be opened and closed, without having to take the bikes off. Does the Swagman XTC4 have that feature?

We do have 4-Bike bike racks that have the tilting feature that allows you to keep your bikes loaded but unfortunately you have to remove the bikes off of the Swagman XTC4 # S64665 in order to rotate the center mast down to gain rear hatch clearance.
For a similar bike rack that uses arms to secure the bikes and comes with bike and rack locks I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HR1400Z which does allow you to keep your bikes loaded while you use the tilt feature.
A more cost-effective option is the Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack # C18087 but it only comes with locks for the bikes and there isn't a way to lock the rack to the vehicle via the anti-rattle pin. You'll have to use a cable lock like part # e98891 and wrap it around the bike rack and loop it through the safety chain loops on your trailer hitch for that.
Attached are review videos for all 3 bike racks that you can check out.
