LCI366043 motor is on my step now and it rachets when trying to move step in or out...what is the problem? Motor home is only 2 years old.

The issue you described is a common indication that the motor has gone bad as it is no longer arcing out which is what tells the motor to stop. The correct replacement motor which you will need to fix your issue is the Lippert Components Kwikee Motor and Screws for New IMGL Step part # LC379147.
