If you are installing the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13136 or the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75940 on your 2017 Porsche Macan and plan on towing, you will need to take some very simple measurements in order to find out the correct ball mount.
First, make sure both your Porsche and trailer are parked on level ground; you'll then want to measure from the ground to the top of the inside of your hitch receiver. Next, measure from the ground to the bottom of your trailer's coupler and find the difference between the two measurements.
If the height of your hitch is greater, you will need a ball mount with that amount of drop. If the height of the coupler is greater, you'll need a ball mount with that amount of rise.
For example, if the top of the hitch on your vehicle measured 12 inches and the bottom of your coupler measured 10 inches, you would need a ball mount with 2 inches of drop such as the Curt # C45030. The correct hitch ball will depend on the size of your trailer's coupler, it will likely be either a 1-7/8" hitch ball or 2" hitch ball.
I've attached a link to a help article on ball mounts for you to take a look at, as well as a link to our selection of ball mounts and hitch balls.
If you are towing you will also need a wiring harness to power your trailer's lights, and the correct kit for your '17 Macan is the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT.
