Can Progressive Dynamics Converter # PD9160A Be Used with 2-Prong Household Outlet

Question:

The Progressive Dynamics lithium battery charger model PD9180ALV requires a 20A outlet, which I do not have at home. How can I use this charger at home to charge lithium batteries? Thank you

It sounds like you only have 2 prong outlets in your house which aren't directly compatible with the 3-prong 20 amp plug on the Progressive Dynamics Converter # PD9180ALV. There are adapters available that allow you to physically plug cords like this into a 2-prong outlet but I do not recommend using one for heavy-duty appliances like this converter/battery charger.

Your best option is really going to be with a different battery charger that is designed to be used with household outlets like what you have. For this the NOCO Genius # 329-G260000 will work well. This AC-to-DC charger can be used with Lithium-ion batteries and features various charging modes to maintain the health of your batteries.

I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
