Will OEM Trailer Connector on 2006 Ford F250 Fit in Hopkins Replacement Mounting Bracket # HM40978
Question:
I just replaced the factory receiver and If i can reuse the existing socket or will it eixsting one fit in the 40978 Hopkins Replacement Mounting Bracket? Thanks

To determine if your existing OEM plug will fit into the replacement bracket, I pulled one of the brackets and took some measurements for you (see photo). You can compare the dimensions of your existing connector to the dimensions shown.
If your existing connector will not fit, you can use the connector you referenced, part # HM40975 which includes the bracket. The existing trailer connector will unplug from its harness at the rear, and the harness would then plug into the socket at the rear of the HM40975.
