Fifth Wheel Hitch that's Easier to Use than Demco Autoslide Hijacker
Question:
i have had a demco autoslide now for three years and drove 5000 mile with it. and i still hate it because of lining backup to re-hitch . if you pull out at any angle it is very hard to get lined up again at the same angle , some times it takes 1 hour of trying. i even used a 2x4x8foot in the opening with 2 people and could only rotate it about 1 degree. so because of this i am looking for another hitch and would not recommend this even to a person i hate. and at campgrounds you do not have the room to get the truck straight with the camper, sometimes you can only get it to about 15 degrees and other times you think you are straight only to find out that you are 2 degrees off after you pull out. there should be a disengage lever to rotate and then snap back in position.

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with the Demco Hijacker hitch. Most people report back that it's easy to use and the auto-slide feature is very convenient. But we also know that it really does require you to be super exact with the angle when connecting.
If you are looking for a hitch that's very easy to connect to the B and W Companion Slider part # BWRVK3370 would be what I recommend. This hitch is very easy to connect to due to the fact it's not an auto slider mainly but also because it's jaw design is one of the best around. Many RVers consider this hitch to be one of the best available because of how easy it is use. If being easy to use is the most important feature of your hitch then this Companion would be the best solution.
