Will the Timbrens Help with Worn Out Leaf Springs on a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

My rear leaf springs are worn out on my GMC Sierra 1500. Would these help with my old leaf springs, or should I replace my leaf springs and then add these Timbrens?

Expert Reply:

If the leaf springs on your 2005 GMC Sierra are worn out then the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRCK15S will engage more frequently. This would help your leaf springs from wearing further but this may also have an adverse affect on ride quality. The best option and what I recommend is to replace the leaf springs and then add the Timbrens but as stated, these will prevent your springs from wearing further so they can get you by until you are able to replace the leaf springs as well.

I have attached an install video for you.
