For the Ford OEM pucks, the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Super Duty # BWRVB3300 weighs 79 lbs as opposed to the Replacement Slider Base for B&W OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Ford Towing Prep Package - 20K # BWRVB3370 which weighs 192 lbs. This is a 113 lb difference. The head installs separately and will weigh 73 lbs.

That difference however is not any loss in Payload as that is calculated based on your actual bed cargo and the underbed B&W gooseneck hitch this attaches to is not part of the bed but rather under the bed attached to the frame. That weight isn't added to the payload of your truck because it is attached to the frame and directly centered over your axle which obviously the payload is spread over the entire bed of the truck where it isn't centered.

It will add weight to your axle and suspension, but it isn't reducing your payload which may seem like splitting hairs. If you have a short bed truck I do recommend sliding hitch # BWRVK3400 which has a total weight of 280 lbs over the fixed hitch # BWRVK3500 weighing 205 lbs.
