Which Weight Distribution Shank is Needed for a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
Just bought a used camper with an e2 trunnion hitch setup and need a hitch to accomadate my truck height compared to the last owner. Its currently setup with the 1/2 shank and i need another 3 inch . Will the 4 inch shank be sufficient or do i need to buy the 7 inch shank to play it safe? How much does each one actually provide? Thanks

In order to decide which shank you need for your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System you will first want to measure from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube opening on your tow vehicle. The distance from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on your trailer while level will then be subtracted for the above measurement in order to find out how much rise/drop you need to look for in a new weight distribution shank.
With that being said, the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Shank part # FA92-02-4214 which offers up to 5-1/2" of drop should cover you. This is the most popular shank we have for standard height pickup trucks.
