Recommended Shank for Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System with More Drop
Question:
I have an E2 Trunnion hitch I am transfering from an old tow car to a 2018 Dodge Durango Citadel. I current hitch/shank leaves the ball hitch at least 20+ inches off the ground. I wasnt sure the best size to get for this car, can you help?

It sounds like you need a weight distribution system shank with more drop for your now taller tow vehicle and if that's the case we have some great options for you. Thankfully, the shanks are for the most part universal so you don't have to worry about brand. In order to make sure you get the correct shank the first time I do recommend measuring. The two measurements you'll need to take are from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch on the vehicle and then from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler on the trailer while level. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4200 for example offers up to a 4" drop.
I have attached a full list of options below if this is not enough for you.
