Recommended Timbren Suspension Enhancement for 5th Wheel Towing with a 2015 Ram 2500 4x4

Question:

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 Diesel Mega Cab auto 4x4. I am looking at a 5th wheel rv that has a hitch weight of 2550 pounds. All of the remaining weights are under the specs for my Ram. The payload for the truck is 1990 pounds so the rear sages a bit when I loaded the trailer for a test run. Will the Timbren help to take the sage out and level the the ride. Which one would you recommend? I was looking at Item # TDR2500D.

Yes, the Timbren suspension enhancement system (SES) jounce-style springs will help to level your 2015 Ram 2500 when you are under a load. The correct part you want to use is # TDR2500D as the other part for the rear suspension, part # TDRTT3500E, is designed for service vehicles that are under a constant heavy load.

I have attached a review video for the Timbrens as well as a photo that a customer sent in of this same system installed on their 2014 Ram 2500 for you to reference.

One other thing to note is that your payload weight capacity actually differs from the amount of pin weight that your pickup can handle. Since payload is the strength of your bed itself and a 5th wheel hitch gains it strength from being installed directly to the frame of your vehicle the 2,550 lb pin weight actually isn't overloading payload capacity. Just stay under the other weight specs like you mentioned and you'll be fine.
