Question:

i have p195 75r14 tires on my boat trailer. i need tires and want to replace with trailer tires. the closest 14inch st tire is too big for my fender wells. thinking of replacing with 13inch wheels and st185 80r13 tires. those tires are close to the size of p195 tires. any reason i couldnt do that? thanks

Your P195/75R14 tires have a 25.5 inch diameter with a 7.7 inch width. Trailer tires do typically have a different sidewall, so you won't have an identical fit. I recommend the Provider ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 13" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C, Item # TA43RR which will have a diameter of 24.02 inches and a width of 6.97 inches. Each assembly will have a load capacity of 1,360 lbs at 50 psi with a speed rating of 81 mph maximum. They come with a 2 year warranty on the tire and wheel. They will work much better than the passenger tires you currently have on your trailer.
