MagnaFlow Catalytic Converter for 2007 Toyota Prius Compatibility with State Regulations
Question:
What is different between this CAT and the CARB versions? How is a CARB version identified? I am in CA, and need to replace my 2007 Prius CAT.

Good question. The CARB compliant products refer to an environmental protection agency (California Air Resources Board) certification. In California, your catalytic converter will need to be compliant with CARB to pass the state inspections.
The MagnaFlow Ceramic Catalytic Converter - Stainless Steel - Direct Fit # MF49752 is 49 state compliant, but is unfortunately not compliant with California regulations. We do not currently carry any catalytic converters that are CARB compliant, so I recommend going to your Toyota dealer as many aftermarket companies will not meet their strict criteria.
