Somehow I don’t see the link. It’s taking sometime to get this far starting my company and it’s coming together I purchased the EZ 4 auto hauler and am now putting the truck together. Simone told me that I needed a sliding fifth wheel? I still have not purchased my truck Items but want to make sure I don’t make a costly mistakeHow do I know how far back to weld the steel plate and mount the fifth wheel Thanks again for your professional help Sincerely

Basically what you will need is Reese Low-Profile hitch # RP30054. Normally this hitch is used on flat bed trucks. But you can use it with your cab and chassis 2013 Ford F-450. You will need to have a 1/2 inch thick steel plate welded AND bolted to the frame. The hitch can then be bolted down to that steel plate. I have included a link to the installation instructions. This installation is best left to a professional welder.

You'll want to center the hitch above the rear axle when you install it. The install instructions link are attached to this page. Depending on what type of device you are viewing this page it could be in a few places. Look under the heading: FEATURED HELP INFORMATION

You wouldn't need a slider hitch as your truck has a long bed. Only short bed trucks will require a slider hitch.
