Parts Needed to Install Brake Controller in 2017 Ford F-150 with 4-Way
Question:
My 2017 Ford F-150 came with a factory 4 flat but no receiver hitch and brake controller. My question is if I want to instal a receiver and a 7 way plug along with my 4 flat what is a good way to connect to my wire harness without having to splice the two wires like the other kit has? I would rather not have to splice any wires are there any other options?

Since your 2017 Ford F-150 came with a factory 4-way the only way you'll be able to install a 7-way and brake controller is by using a 7-way adapter part # 37185 and then splicing the wires to the wiring you mentioned by the truck frame.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
To install it requires the install harness part # 3035-P and it'll be wired up minus a few connections you'll have to make under the vehicle frame like mentioned
