Replacement 15,000 BTU AC Unit for 2004 Carrier V 15000

Question:

The 2004 Carrier V 15000 Btu on my RV may be seeing its final days. I suspect the control panel on the lower unit may be faulty, but I dont know how to test it. I have performed all the following per a post to a forum: ***My 2004 Carrier V AC has worked great for the 4 years since I have had this MH. However, it is now refusing to operate on COOL or DRY Modes. It will start to turn on for a few seconds and then quit. The green light keeps blinking 2 times quickly. Here is a list of tests I have done so far: 1. Removed the capacitor and had it shop tested - OK 2. Cleaned the coils with coil cleaner. 3. The inside filters are clean. 4. Disconnected / Reconnected the 12 VDC wires to the control board. 5. Replaced batteries in the remote / Reset the remote 6. Tried operating the unit with the other Front remote. 7. I can hand spin the fan without obstruction. Can anyone give me any other suggestion before I give up!*** The reason I am posting this to you is to ask if I purchase your Advent 15000 Btu, will I need to re-use the Carrier control board, which may or may not be faulty? The Carrier has a remote which I would like to re-use, but if necessary because of the control board, I can make do without it. I simply want to make sure all the necessary components upper and interior are included in my purchase. Also, just for information, I had a shop replace the front Carrier unit with a Coleman Mach and they re-used the lower interior component. Unit works okay, but very noisy, especially outside. Ive purchased from you before and have been pleased with your service. Thanks for any advice.

The Advent Air Rooftop RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 that you referenced requires you to have a thermostat and inside roof vent to function properly. If the circuit board you mentioned having is basically just a standard thermostat but branded Carrier (it should be) then this will work with the # ACCARKIT as well.

For a more complete setup that comes with the needed thermostat, remote, and inner vent system you'd instead want the Atwood AC unit # AT15033-22 which also is rated at 15,000 BTU.
