Can the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Be Wired to Carrier Distribution Box with Heat Pump  

Question:

I have a Carrier distribution box ducted for both my front and rear air Conditioner units. I replaced the Carrier roof mounted compressor unit with the Advent ACM135 and ACM150. I have the Carrier wiring kit for each of them and also the startup capacitors. However, I don’t know how to connect my Advent heat pump to the Carrier Distribution box thermostat wires and wiring kit to control the heat pump. Please help me understand how that works and how to connect the two.

I do have an option for you but the Advent Air RV Air Conditioners like part # ACM135 or part # ACM150 when using the Carrier Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACCARKIT isn't compatible with models that have a heat pump. The only option we can offer would be to replace the Carrier distribution box with the Air Distribution Box part # ACDB and then add the Electric Heat Strip for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACMHD.
