Compatibility of Trailer Hitch with 2018 Ford F-150 Max Towing Capacity
Question:
I have a 2018 f150. What Ive noticed is the f150 qith max tow package is rated to pull over 13k. But a class IV hitch is only rated for at most 12,500lbs. I cant seem to find a class V hitch for the truck. I have a 10k camper with over 1,200lbs of tongue weight. I use a curt 15k weight distribution hitch and that hitch flexes the hitch on my 2017 chevy 1500 with max tow package when I have it cranked up. So I would like to go to a class V hitch but cant find them

Unfortunately there is not a Class V hitch rated for over 12000 lbs towing from any of our manufacturers for your 2018 Ford F-150. The best hitch we currently offer # C26HR is rated for 12,000 lbs and 1200 lbs tongue weight when used with weight distribution and is made by Curt in the USA.
Based on your specifications you must have the 3.5L GTDI V6 SuperCrew with 20 inch tires and wheels and the 3.55 axle ratio because that is the only option rated higher than this hitch. If so, unfortunately you will need to have a hitch custom made. If that isn't the vehicle you have, I recommend checking your towing capacity with Ford's 2018 Towing Guide to get your max capacity and not towing above that capacity.
