The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner with Ceiling Vent and Start Capacitor part # ACM135BC requires 3,000 watts for starting and 1,000 watts while running therefore a 2,000 watt generator would not be suited for this or any RV air conditioner for that matter. Instead, I recommend the A-iPower 3,800-Watt Portable Inverter Generators - 3,000 Running Watts - Gas - Manual Start # 289-SUA2000i-2 which has a 3,800 watt starting and 3,000 watt running power output. This will give you enough power to start and run the air conditioner as well as power a few other items if you need to.

The main issue you run into when using an air conditioner with a portable generator is the high starting wattage required for the air conditioner. However, the start capacitor included with the above air conditioner brings the starting watts way down to allow for a more cost effective generator to be used. For example, if you were using the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner with Ceiling Vent without the start capacitor then it would require almost 6,000 watts for starting.

I have attached a review video on the generator for you as well.
